Italiansped recently shipped a press built by SACMI Imola weighing no less than 500 tons, a huge machine destined for a major customer in the ceramic industry. Because of the exceptional size and weight of the press, it had to be split into several parts to allow safe transportation.

Transferring the two half-frames from the headquarters in Via Selice, Imola, to the port of Ravenna where they would be shipped to their final destination, required several outsize trucks and meticulous route planning.

To complicate matters, the recent heavy flooding in the area making it necessary to perform in-depth technical-structural checks on some motorway sections, especially those located near rivers, and adopt alternate routes.

The shipment was handled by the specialized Italiansped team, which drew on all its experience and expertise in the Project Cargo sector. Their technical skills and in-depth planning ensured the project was completed successfully and on time, once again demonstrating Italiansped’s proficiency in managing complex large-scale shipments.
